1. Pre Ride Bike Camping Clinic at the Recyclery– Tuesday, July 17th from 6:30-8pm
A bike camp clinic that is 1.5 hours at The Recyclery Collective. The focus is educating the youth on how to prep for bike camping as well as introducing the ecological and historical learning objectives of the ride
2. Bike Camp Trip to Illinois Beach State Park – July 21-22
Depart on Saturday, July 21 at 7:00am from The Recyclery and return to The Recyclery at 6pm on Sunday
Ride 40 miles to Illinois Beach State Park in Zion, IL to camp, explore the par on Day 2, and take the Metra Train back to Chicago. Focus is to have fun in nature, practice camping skills, and further expand on the environmental and historical learning objectives as well as have a reflective piece about what they have learned.

Signed Permission slips, waiver, and photo release forms (attached in this registertion)
Participation in at least 2 of the 3 above noted events
$30 per participant
(Registration is a must before attending)
About The Guides
-The Tour Guides will have a bike tool kit, an air pump, a presta/schrader valve adapter, tire lever, chain breaker, and a crescent wrench (for those older bikes), a multi-toolkit, lights and emergency packet. Our guides will help you with any needed repairs.
Our Guides have worked with youth, historians, biologists, forest rangers, and leading people in their fields to deliver a one kind trip. They have setup multiple break points along the way in all the right places to ensure your child can go the distance and have a very enjoyable experince.

This is an environmental education program centered on bike adventures which connect youth to their local ecosystems and history through meaningful and sustained interactions. The program is designed for high school students who will carry the environmental sustainability momentum into the next generation.
